Vytorin Information
Vytorin is a popular drug that is known for its abilities to lower the patient’s blood cholesterol levels by blocking the organism’s production of cholesterol and by reducing the amount of fat that is absorbed by the organism. This medicine reduces the patient’s LDL (a certain form of cholesterol that is also known as “bad cholesterol”) levels. Vytorin Indications
Vytorin is a popular medicine that is generally prescribed to patients who need to raise their “good cholesterol” levels, but also lower their “bad cholesterol” levels. However, this medicine might also be used for some other purposes that have not been mentioned here.
Vytorin Warnings
Vytorin is a medicine that should be accompanied by exercise, diet and weight control. Your blood cholesterol; levels might not improve during the first 2 weeks of treatment with this drug. Vytorin Intake Guidelines

Vytorin Side Effects

In rare cases, simvastatin can cause a condition that results in the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue, leading to kidney failure. Call your doctor right away if you have unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness especially if you also have fever, unusual tiredness, and dark colored urine.
Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have:
little or no urinating, pain in your side or lower back;
swelling, rapid weight gain;
nausea, upper stomach pain, loss of appetite, unusual tiredness; or
dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
Common Vytorin side effects may include:
- headache;
- diarrhea; or
cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat.

Vytorin Drug Reactions
During your treatment with Vytorin you should avoid taking any of the following drugs:
- amiodarone;
- cholestyramine, colestipol, or colesevelam;

- nefazodone;
- niacin;
- verapamil;
- warfarin;
- antibiotics;
